Administrative and Production internships are available with Ripe Time where interns can learn first hand the workings of a small nonprofit theatre company.
INTERNSHIPS
Interning with Ripe Time offers an excellent opportunity to gain an understanding of how a small nonprofit theatre company operates. Interns become an integral part of the company's artistic and administrative operations, gaining experience and skills to negotiate within the greater New York City theatre landscape.
Administrative Internship Projects Include:
• Artistic Project Coordination
• Funding and Grant Research
• Maintaining Company Correspondence
• Assisting with Grant Writing/Preparation
• Mailing List/Database Maintenance
• Accounting Assistance
• Preparing Marketing Materials
• Direct Assistance to Artistic Staff
Administrative Intern applicants are ideally available for a minimum of one full day or two half-days of work per week. Start and end dates are flexible though tend to coordinate with spring, fall and summer of academic calendar. Organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated individuals are encouraged to apply. Strong computer and writing skills are crucial. Ripe Time's Administrative Interns are invited to observe the company's rehearsal process and artistic meetings. Course credit available for currently enrolled college students.
Production intern work may include:
• Running crew
• Wardrobe
• Assisting the designers
• Assisting the director
• Assisting the stage manager
• Assisting the technical director
Production Interns are hired during production periods and must be available for rehearsal period/ technical rehearsals/ run of the show, as required by the specific role filled.
